The WCN Care Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Lizzie Hart to the role of Care Home Manager Lead for the Enhanced Health in Care Homes programme.
Lizzie is the Group Operations Manager for the WCN Care Group and leads our homes at Stour Road Care Home and St Anne’s Nursing Home in Bournemouth.
Lizzie has been in the Care Sector all her working life, having been brought up in her family run care home, Aucklands Rest Home. She became a Deputy Manager at the age of 19 and is a qualified trainer specialising in dementia and physical interventions and supports homes locally with all mandatory training and additional specialist training and is an advocate for service improvement.
The WCN Care Group runs 2 homes. St Anne’s Nursing Home provides nursing and personal care. It is situated in a quiet residential road of Southbourne, close to local amenities and within easy access of transport links and the beach. Stour Road Care Home offers residential care and is located in beautiful Christchurch, surrounded by many places of interest such as Christchurch Priory.

Alongside her role leading these homes, Lizzie’s new role as the Care Home Manager Lead will aim to strengthen the link between Care Homes and CCG regarding the EHCH programme in Dorset. The role is instrumental in supporting the delivery of projects and recommendations set out in the EHCH framework in Care Homes with a view to improve communication, uptake and understanding of these key pieces of work. The role will also seek to ensure a two-way dialogue between Care Homes the CCG and wider health system regarding all aspects of the EHCH programme.
